Mustangs: Utah’s Onaqui & Cedar Mountain Herds & We Are Humans Art/Book Talk

  • Utah Cultural Celebration Center 1355 West 3100 South West Valley City, UT, 84119 United States (map)

“A society is defined not by what is creates, but by what it refuses to destroy.” -John Sawhill, Past President of the Nature Conservancy

For October’s Community First Friday the Utah Cultural Celebration Center presents John Steele and Robin Pendergrast as part of the Utah Humanities Book Festival.  Using award-winning photography and words, both John and Robin provide a voice for the voiceless: John through his work with wild horses, and Robin with Salt Lake’s homeless population.  Come hear them speak about disparate but ultimately connected subjects and learn about their tireless advocacy and awareness campaigns.  Both will be reading from their books and signing copies for sale, with all proceeds going toward their respective causes, accompanied by an exhibition of works.

This event is made possible in partnership with Utah Humanities as part of the annual Utah Humanities Book Festival.
